EDUCATION Secretary Gavin Williamson joined Bolton West Conservative candidate Chris Green on the General Election campaign trail in Westhoughton this morning.
The cabinet minister and the former MP were knocking on doors in Chew Moor.
Mr Green won the seat from Labour's Julie Hilling, who is standing again on December12, in 2015 and held it with a majority of just 936 in 2017.
Mr Williamson said: “We want to ensure every child has access to a good quality education, which is why this Conservative government is increasing per pupil funding for every primary and secondary school pupil right across the country.”
Mr Green said: “People keep telling me that they want to get Brexit done, so we can focus on the issues local people care about most, such as increased and fair funding for our schools. I was delighted to welcome Gavin to join me on the campaign trail, so local people had the opportunity to put their education concerns directly to him."
