A NURSERY is celebrating a hat-trick after school inspectors once again marked it outstanding.
Playdays Day Nursery and Pre-School in Blackrod was found to be outstanding in every area — from leadership to teaching as well as how children develop — following an Ofsted inspection.
Leadership of the nursery was described as “inspirational” and praised its work to create “a culture of excellence”.
“Children are extremely happy, motivated and utterly engaged in their learning,” reported inspectors, who awarded the nursery in Church Street the highest possible mark for the third time.
All children, including those with special educational needs are said to make “excellent progress”, with staff having “very high expectations of what children can achieve”.
Ofsted reported: “All staff are dedicated to providing the very best for children.
“Staff confidently contribute to children’s learning, providing exciting learning environments with a wide range of stimulating resources.” And teaching was described as being of a “very high quality”.
“They motivate and enthuse children and ignite their imaginations,” reported inspectors, “Staff know the children extremely well.”
The nursery partnership with parents was praised as being “exceptional”.
“ Parents overwhelmingly praise the nursery and refer to the team as a ‘family’,” stated the report, “They comment highly on the relationships staff build with their children and how this supports their rapid progress.
“Parents are fully involved in their child’s learning through very effective communication.”
Inspectors said that children are “very well prepared for the next stage in their learning.”
Playdays Day Nursery Manager, Kristina Bannister said:“To receive three ‘Outstanding’ ratings on the trot is an amazing achievement.
“ I’m so incredibly proud of the Playdays team, who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care and education for our children every day.
“The high praise we have received from Ofsted reflects all of the passion and hard work we put into our nursery and the fabulous relationships we have with the families we support.
She added:”It really is wonderful to have this recognised.”
The nursery received outstanding ratings from Ofsted in 2011, 2013 and now.
