STAFF and volunteers from the town's libraries are working to enhance the online presence of their services through a 'Wikipedia Editathon'.

On Saturday, September 21, from 2-4pm Bolton Central Library will host an expert from the encyclopedia-themed website.

The volunteers will create submissions referencing the LGBT community and the exhibition at Bolton Museum, which is celebrating a year since reopening. Organisers have asked for anyone interested to get involved.

The event is aimed at creating a lasting, online legacy for work at the library and museum.

Anyone who cannot attend but wants to send something, should email collectionenquiries@bolton.gov.uk a minimum of 200 words by Friday, September 20.
