A POPULAR ghost tour is back for those who dare visit one of Bolton's oldest buildings by night.

Smithills Hall is opening its doors in the run up to Halloween to find out more about the ghostly goings-on and those who inhabit it when it is locked up.

The tour will also give an insight into the history of the hall while visitors enjoy the ghost stories.

The fascinating tour takes place on Thursday, October 24.

Tickets are £8 adults and £7 concessions.

Booking in advance is essential.

Payment can be made by cash or debit card at Bolton Museum or by cash at Smithills Hall.
