FREEDOM of information requests sent out across Bolton show that 51 of 123 schools in the borough contain asbestos.

Each location is surveyed by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) every 12 months and Bolton Council works with trained officer to try and ensure teachers and students are not in danger.

The list includes all the council-run school’s which answered the request and are being managed for asbestos. They can be seen below.
