Bee and sunflower
GREEN fingered gardeners are encouraging people to get growing sunflowers for a local competition.
Organisers of Daisy Hill in Bloom are welcoming people to enter the sunflower competition, with entries so far reaching as high as three feet and 10 inches, or 117cm.
The Daisy Hill in Bloom group is interested in looking at participants’ progress so far, asking people to get in touch again once the plants have grown to their full size. Pictures, with postcodes, can be sent to daisyhillinbloom@outlook.com or to the Facebook page.
