ONE of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firms has joined this year’s The Bolton News Business Awards as a category sponsor.
Baldwins, based on Chorley New Road, Bolton, will sponsor the SME Business of the Year at the awards, which will take place at the University of Bolton Stadium on Thursday, September 26.
Baldwins, formerly known as CLB Coopers, are committed to providing excellent advice and support to their clients and their businesses.
They provide a diverse range of compliance and specialist services specifically designed to add value to all types of businesses, from sole traders to large national corporations and everything in between.
The Bolton News Business Awards 2019, whose overall sponsor is Bolton Council, features 15 categories this year.
They include SME Business of the Year, Regeneration Project of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Not for Profit Organisation of the Year and a special Editor’s Award.
The SME category is aimed at a company or enterprise which has made an indelible impression in the business world.
It could be a firm with just two or three employees (up to a maximum of 20) as it is considered small for the particular field in which it operates, with a turnover between £2million and £5million
Innovation, expertise and imagination are some of the qualities that will help firms qualify for this award. The winner might be in the service sector, retail or any kind of business which is small now but has big ideas.
Baldwins joins other category sponsors, Stateside Foods (Business of the Year), Market Place Bolton (Regeneration Project of the Year), MBDA (Manufacturer of the Year) and Farnell Jaguar (Customer Excellence). The sponsors will also help to judge the entries.
Nick Donohue, Baldwins Bolton’s Office Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Bolton News Business Awards. Our business has been running successfully in Bolton for many years and we know personally what a fantastic variety of companies of all sizes and entrepreneurs there are in this borough.
