A COMPANY which offered chances to more apprentices than ever before has praised the Bolton Business Awards.
Keoghs, based at The Parklands, close to the Middlebrook Retail Park, Horwich won last year's award for Apprentice Development.
David McIntosh, people development manager at the company says the prize has helped to increase "exposure" of its apprenticeship work and improve the programme.
"We were very proud to win Best Company for Apprentice Development at the Bolton Business Awards," he said.
"Since the win, the scheme has gone from strength to strength, with more people approaching us to apply and Keoghs making more apprenticeships available to the local community.
"There’s no doubt the initiative has gained additional traction across the firm thanks to the exposure.”
The awards are designed have an impact by giving the town's hard-working firms a well-deserved and money-can’t-buy boost based on the innovative work.
This year the awards will be celebrated at a prestigious ceremony at The University of Bolton Stadium on Thursday, September 26, with 15 categories, including Regeneration Project of the Year and Family Business of the Year.
