In the heydey of Bolton's clubbing scene, Atlantis launched in a blaze of glory.
The £5million venue was, at the time, Bolton's largest nightclub and had the capacity to hold 2,500 revellers.
It opened in 1998 and closed six years later but the hazy memories still live on.
So we've taken a trip down memory lane to remember the 'superclub for the Millennium'.
Atlantis opened in the Valley Centertainment complex in Waters Meeting Road and attracted top stars including Busted and Girls Aloud.
It boasted six bars, two dancefloors, a diner and a swanky VIP lounge.
The venue, one of the region's most expensive nightclubs, hit financial difficulties after failing to attract enough clubbers due to its out-of-town location.
In November 2000, there was a shooting incident when a gunman approached the club at closing time, produced a handgun and fired at least eight shots into a crowd standing near the doors.
On a hot summer’s evening in 2003, chart toppers Girls Aloud entertained crowds at an event organised by the club with help from ITV Saturday morning pop show CD:UK.
Joining Cheryl, Kimberly, Nicola, Sarah and Nadine were Irish boy band D-Side and Transylvanian pop twins the Cheeky Girls.
But the end was nigh and it closed in March 2004.
You can relive the glory days in the gallery above.
