A BUSINESS park is looking to expand with five new industrial units planned.
Water Meeting Business Park off Britannia Way has been primed for its third and final stage of development.
The site of the proposed units is located on a raised plateau of undeveloped land measuring more than 7 acres.
Family-owned property company B & E Boys is behind the development.
The Rossendale-based company acquired the land at Waters Meeting over a number of years and has developed and refurbished the estate in that time.
It was had been waiting to make improvements since being hit by the economic downturn in 2008 before being granted planning permission to erect new industrial units two years ago.
In that time, five new industrial and hybrid units have been completed and are now occupied.
Two existing units to the west of the application site have also been refurbished and are set to be extended.
An application for the new units is due to be determined by planning officers later this month.
