INVESTITURE: Cllr Sherrington with the Beavers and Cubs
CHILDREN of the newly-formed 37th Bolton Salaam Scout Group had a VIP guest at their investiture ceremony.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Elaine Sherrington, witnessed 33 Beavers and Cubs announce their commitment to the Scout Law at Ladybridge Community Centre on Sunday.
In addition to the Mayor, other guest speakers included Yousif Etom, chairman of the Muslim Scout Fellowship.
Cllr Sherrington said she was honoured to attend and told the youngsters: “The encouragement and support Scouting provides is invaluable.”
