YOUNG people were in fine voice as they celebrated the festive season.
Bolton School junior boys held their annual Christmas Carol Service.
The evening opened with pupil Nathan Pierson singing the first verse of Once in Royal David’s City before he was joined by the Upper School Choir and then the entire gathering for this rousing opening to the evening.
Other songs performed during the evening including Infant Holy, Heaven Bell-a-ring, Ding Dong Merrily.
There were also readings during the service
The Chamber Choir delivered its own stunning version of Three Kings and Carol of the Bells before the Whole School Choir sang This Child.
There was a special singing of Silent Night with verses sung in Mandarin, French and German as well as in English.
The festive evening closed with a prayer and benediction and there was a retiring collection for Save the Children.
