Mystery picture
THIS week’s mystery photograph was taken of a road widening scheme to take account of the increased level of traffic using the borough’s roads and streets.
The advert for the dried potato product Smash should help date it somewhat.
However, no one managed to identify last week’s mystery photo which was taken almost slap bang in the town centre at Albion Court, off Deansgate in 1925.
