TWO lanes have been shut on the M61 after a lorry caught fire.
The M61 southbound bewteen Junction 8 for Chorley and Junction 6 for Horwich has been closed due to the blaze and subsequent spillage on the carriageway.

Traffic officers are on the scene and working with the fire service to reopen the lanes. Resurfacing works are being carried out.
Drivers are experiencing delays as a result of the incident.
Highways England have urged commuters to allow extra time for their journeys.
