BOLTON born comedian Venn Tracey likes to take charity fundraising lying down.
The Lancashire entertainer has just organised his 21st Golf Classic at Manchester Gold Club.
Mr Tracey started the event as a fun day out for the lads with the late comedian Les Dawson, 21 years ago.
It has grown from strength to strength and this year all proceeds went to the Manchester Golf Club Captain and Lady Captains' nominated charities, Rochdale Childer and MND Association.
The 64 players and their guests also enjoyed a cabaret dinner while the entertainment was provided by Mr Tracey, vocalist Andy Lee and Comedians Graham Grumbleweed and Nicky Newsome.
The event raised more than £1,500.
