A FORMER town centre bar will not be reopening any time soon, according to a spokesman.
Bar Metro, in Bradshawgate, closed back in July, with its owners saying the business had been forced to close due to a ‘combination of factors’, including a burglary in which the public address system was stolen.
They added: “It was not making enough to pay the rent and the landlords decided to sell up for their own personal reasons.
“It would not be economical to reopen again.”
The bar opened in 2015. Since its closure this summer, the building has reportedly had an issue with squatters, but is currently up for sale.
The blue and white Metro branding on the outside of the building has now been replaced with grey and white paint.
