EVERY year smokers endeavour to cut down or quit in October.
The effort, dubbed Stoptober is supported by the NHS and has helped more than one million quit attempts get off to the right start.
North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has created a handy animation to help people prepare and remain smokefree during Stoptober, featuring useful tips and advice.
Alison Foster, Smokefree Lead for the Trust said: “Making changes can improve your health right away and considerably increase your chances of staying healthy.
“Some of the benefits to your health include: carbon monoxide levels, blood pressure and pulse returning to normal, breathing becoming easier and energy levels increasing.”
