THE fun of the fair came to Edgworth when a pub landlord threw open his doors for a charity bonanza.
Alan Phillips, of the White Horse pub, Bury Road, held the event to raise money for Cancer Research.
Entertainment included an Army climbing wall, Sumo wrestling, sponge throwing and stalls.
A charity auction was held on Friday night, with signed Amir Khan boxing gloves and a signed Wanderers shirt going under the hammer.
About 300 people enjoyed the fete on Saturday.
Mr Phillips said: "A three-legged race has been held in previous years to raise money for Cancer Research, but it has been cancelled this year. I decided to organise this instead because I didn't want the charity to lose out.
"All in all it was a very successful day. The total amount raised will be a few thousand."
