A TEMPORARY cabin for burial volunteers will be put in Overdale Cemetery.
Bolton planners approved the council’s application to put a timber-clad steel container on the site as a welfare unit containing a drying room, toilet and canteen.
Cllr John Walsh asked whether the unit could be put in a more out of the way place but Cllr Cliff Morris said the unit would need to be brought by a truck and so where it was placed would need to be accessible to vehicles.
Cllr Morris put forward an amendment to the plans to ensure a permanent structure be built within two years. This was approved.
