THE former headquarters of an electrical company is on the market for half a million pounds and could be demolished to make way for 12 apartments.
Outline planning permission was granted earlier this year by officers for site of the former HQ of John Dawson Electrical, in Chapeltown Road in Bromley Cross to demolish the existing office premises and erect a two-and-a-half storey building for 12 apartments over three levels.
The plans also include 15 parking spaces and the site is now up for sale on the open market.
Estate agent Cardwells is now advertising the sale of the building for £525,000.
The site is opposite Bromley Cross railway station and Cardwells said it is ideally placed for schools, shops, leisure facilities and the countryside.
The proposed building is 1,056 square metres with a working guide of each apartment being 75 square metres.
Cardwells said: "It is very rare that building and development opportunities like this are offered to open market in Bromley Cross, Bolton.
"Situated on Chapeltown Road opposite Bromley Cross railway station which serves Manchester, Blackburn etc. This building plot is in the heart of Bromley Cross village so is ideally placed for the excellent schools, shops, leisure facilities and the beautiful countryside."
The councils planning officers found that the plans would be compatible with the character and appearance of the area.
