WORK to resurface a busy junction will resume later this month after it was delayed by snow and freezing weather.
A £260,000 scheme is being carried out at the junction of Blackburn Road and Darwen Road in Egerton.
The scheme was expected to be finished by March 25 as the section between Stanrose Close and Brierholme Avenue was repaired.
The bulk of the work will now take place on Saturday April 21 and Sunday 22 and Saturday 28 and Sunday 29.
Temporary traffic lights will be in use and some preparatory and related work could take place on weekdays.
The council has said disruption will be kept to a minimum and residents and businesses will be able to access their properties.
The scheme's completion date was always subject to weather conditions and March was hit by freezing weather and snowstorms.
The Beast from the East hit at the start of the month and end of February and then this was followed by more snow and ice over the weekend of March 10 and 11 when some of the original work was set to be completed.
