Police were called to Bradshawgate in the early hours of Sunday morning after the car crashed as people peopled poured out of bars and clubs.
Greater Manchester Police said two people were arrested at the scene and one man has now been charged.

One eyewitness said he had just left Yates at around 2am when he saw the car “smack into the lamppost” outside Courtney’s bar, on the other side of the road.
