COUNCIL staff have said goodbye to two top bosses retiring from the town hall.
Margaret Asquith is leaving the local authority after 11 years, following the appointment of her successor, Tony Oakman.
Staff bid farewell to Ms Asquith, as well as retiring Director of People John Daly, at a leaving party on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms Asquith, who will leave the council at the end of March, previously served as director of children’s and adult services and deputy chief executive.
She became chief executive at the town hall in 2015 following the shock departure of Paul Najsarek.
The mother-of-two has served as Mr Oakman’s deputy during a transition period following his arrival from Dudley Council in January.
Mr Daly has been with the council for 10 years and spent 42 years in local government.
