A BOX containing a further 826 objections to plans to build a championship golf course and 1,000 homes on the Hulton Park Estate was handed to town hall bosses yesterday.
Sandra and John Hesketh, of the Hulton Estate Area Residents Together (HEART) group, delivered the letters — which comes in addition to another 759 objections which they submitted last year.
Peel Holdings’ huge plans to redevelop the historic estate are due to come before the council’s planning committee on March 1.
Mrs Hesketh said: “We have always been hopeful and we are still positive that Bolton Council understands the value of this unique heritage site.”
Peel says it hopes to host the 2026 Ryder Cup on the 645-acre estate. The development giant’s £240 million scheme also includes a new luxury hotel on the site of the former Hulton Hall, which was demolished in the 1950s.
