POLICE are investigating after a body was found near an industrial estate yesterday morning.
Officers were called at Cutacre, near Bridgewater Avenue, in Over Hulton, at around 9.30am yesterday morning to reports a body had been found.
Police attended the scene and found the body of a man, believed to be in his thirties or forties on land near the Logistics North site.
A cordon was set up in the area and there was a large police presence at the scene.
The body is believed to have been found at the bottom end of the Logistics North site, where work is still being completed.
There was a tactical aid unit vehicle, a crime scene investigation van and two police cars currently at the site.
A police helicopter was also seen circling overhead and officers in white suits have also been seen at the scene.
Police carried out inquiries into the body and today and police spokesman confirmed that there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances in relation to the death and a file has been passed to the coroner.
Inquiries are currently at a 'very early stage' police said and anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote incident 534 of February 5 2018.
