is trying to trace old friends who served in the forces during the late 1950s.
It's been 46 years since Geoff put on his scarlet cap and went out to Cyprus and Germany to serve with the Lancashire Fusiliers.
Since ending his National Service in July 1961, he has lost contact with his comrades - many of whom were from Bolton.
Aged 68, retired and living in Fleetwood, Mr Howarth said that he is in contact with three of them but the others are elusive to find.
The former soldier now hopes to hold a reunion for anyone he served with and is interested in renewing acquaintances.
