BOLTON’S new ninja theme park is open for business.

Be NINJA has welcomed the first fun-seekers to its obstacle courses and is hoping to greet more would-be warriors in the New Year.

The attraction, which is the first of its kind in the borough, is based at Trinity Retail Park, just off St Peter’s Way.

Manager Kieron Marsh says the response from the public has been ‘fantastic’.

He said: “We haven’t had anything below a five-star rating on our Facebook page. Everyone has been blown away by the park and ethos we have.”

Mr Marsh added that the park has proved a hit with a huge age range, from five-year-olds to those in their 40s.

There are more than 20 different obstacles to challenge all-comers, including an ‘academy’ for youngsters and a ‘pro-course’ for older ninja-wannabes.

Favourite challenges include the air bags and perspex wall, while other obstacles include rolling logs, quad steps and a floating bridge.

The park also puts a strong emphasis on encouraging healthy lifestyle and healthy eating.

Mr Marsh said: “We are trying to create it as an experience. The restaurant has Japanese food ‘fuel boxes’ and we are working with the council too. They are on board with us and doing a lot of advertising through their Sport in Bolton page.

“A lot of people have said it’s really good for fitness as well. People are having to use a lot of upper body strength.

“I just think it’s more family orientated as well, it’s not just for children. Families can come and spend time together. It’s not just trampolining or jumping, there are 28 different obstacles in the academy alone.”
