THERE’S nothing like a cheeky surprise to get people talking.
And one festive season a Queen had to contend with a cheeky puss and a rather smelly surprise.
Putting on their best pantomime faces are the cast of St Bedes Amateur Dramatic Society.
The team put on their best glad rags for a production of Puss in Boots in 1994.
Glen Botham is pictured in the bright blue wig as Queen Gertude.
The royal was unfortunate enough to take a peek inside a bag and come across an old smelly pheasant (according to reports from the time!)
Our cast of colourful characters ¬includes, from left to right, Colin Gradwell as Baron Von Pumpernickel, Bill McGuiness as Percy Brittlebottle and Julia Green as Dothilda.
Together the foursome took to the stage on the hunt for a fortune of gold in the January production.
