PLENTY of smiles from these students from Bolton schools when they visited their Paderborn counterparts in August 1986.
The people of Paderborn — Bolton’s twin town in Germany — had a warm welcome for the 34 pupils when they arrived at the town hall at the start of the social and educational visit.
The Bolton party is pictured with some of their German hosts and pupils from Paderborn schools visited Bolton the previous Easter.
Bolton has enjoyed a long association with Paderborn.
