WINDS of up to 60mph could batter the North-West tonight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind from 9pm today until 9am tomorrow.
It is predicting westerly winds and gusts of 40 to 50mph and in some areas 60mph.
Heavy rain is also expected to batter the area overnight.
The Met Office said that while the weather is not unusual for this time of year it does bring potential for disruption to transport, tree damage and power cuts.
