A MAN is in a life-threatening condition after a crash where one driver fled the scene.
As reported, a Vauxhall Astra and a Skoda Octavia collided at the junction of Plodder Lane and Harper Green Road, Farnworth at around 8.35pm on Sunday, October 1.
Police have now confirmed that the 32-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Skoda, suffered serious internal injuries which are considered to be life-threatening.

The 56-year-old driver of the Skoda taxi suffered head injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Astra fled the scene on foot before police attended.
Police attended the scene and further enquiries established that the two cars collided at the traffic light intersection, causing both cars to spin along the carriageway before coming to a stop further along Plodder Lane.

The Skoda collided with the Premier convenience shop while the Astra hit the wall of a nearby house.
One shop worker has described a loud bang and how the building shook when it was hit.
Police are now appealing to the driver of the Astra and also any witnesses to come forward.
Police Constable Neil Pennington of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This collision has left two men requiring hospital treatment, one of whom remains in a life threatening condition.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly if they have dash cam footage showing what happened or the immediate aftermath.
“If you have any information at all then please contact police.”
