ONE of top brass bands in the world performed in Bolton for a special fundraising concert.
Foden’s Band took to the stage for Create Brass Explosion at Claremont House, Halliwell, in support of Create Boltones, which offers young people the chance to learn to play a musical instrument and enjoy the magic of performing.
Create Boltones was set up about three years ago and band members also took to the stage during the evening to entertain a 160-strong crowd. The audience was treated a varied programme under the musical direction of one of the country’s top conductors, Richard Evans. Ann Lowton, who works with the charity CreateBolton, said: “We raised £800 which will go towards buying instruments and for tuition.” CreateBolton is a local Christian charity, based in Claremont House, to give young people the opportunity to learn to play instruments.
