AN unmarked police car was rammed four times during a pursuit through Bolton.
Officers attempted to carry out a routine stop and search on a pale green Honda Civic in Mayor Street at around 11am, which was suspected of having no insurance.
But police said the vehicle failed to stop and the unmarked police car gave chase.
The Honda damaged three cars along Mayor Street and at one point, reversed into the front of the unmarked police car, a BMW, causing damage to its front end and partially knocking off the rear bumper of the Honda.
The BMW stopped pursuing the vehicle in Ellesmere Street due to the damage to the car and the dangerous driving of the offending driver, thought to be male.
The man abandoned the Honda in Back Ellesmere Street.
