A DRIVER and his mother were both caught out by traffic police.
A man was caught at the Shell garage on Manchester Road, Bolton, for having no insurance when he was stopped by traffic police.
He was driving his mum's car and was not on the policy.
The man walked off to bring his mum back and when she turned up at the petrol station she was found to be disqualified.
Officers reported both the driver and his mother as well as seizing the vehicle.
A fixed penalty of £300 can be issued for driving without insurance and a motorist can also face six points on their licence.
If the case goes to court an unlimited fine can be handed out.
Driving whilst disqualified is a more serious offence and can see a person sentenced to six months in prison.
