ROCKERS Jordan Allen are used to wowing the crowds in their home town - but now they are hoping to impress the rest of the nation.
The Bolton indie band is hitting the road later this year after announcing its debut UK Headlining Tour on Monday.
It’s a huge step for the fabulous four-piece, made up of Jordan Allen, Danny Quin, Nathan Howard and Kieran Loughran, who have been making waves in the music industry since forming in 2013.
Frontman Jordan, from Westhoughton, said: “We’re overwhelmed by the support we’ve had since we’ve announced the tour. We’ve developed a real fanbase down south in places like Plymouth, Southampton and Bristol so it’s gonna be really cool to do our first headline shows there and give the fans a proper show.
“Of course Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester will be special too, they’re all homecoming shows for us for different reasons and we have some really special supports to announce which will make these gigs even more unforgettable.
“This really feels like a turning point for us, it’s the first time we’re really standing on our own two feet and becoming a real part of the UK Indie Scene, we are one of the bands people are talking about all over the country
“Being tagged in the same tweets as Liam Gallagher, Kasabian and Oasis, by people we’ve never met and playing gigs to thousands of fans that have come to see you and know your songs, we’re becoming a part of people’s lives. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.”
The tour starts in Preston on November 30, with 16 destinations along the way including Manchester’s Ruby Lounge on December 15 before rounding things off in Liverpool at Studio 2 the day after.
So far 2017 is proving to be a pretty big year for the group, starting with the release of single 110 Ways To Make Things Better, written in memory of Jordan’s dad.
It won praise from the likes of BBC Introducing and Radio X, just before the quartet hit the stage for a run of big festivals around the UK including Isle of Wight Festival, Dot to Dot Festival and Tramlines in Sheffield.
They have also headlined gigs in Manchester and close to home – including the Bolton Food and Drink Festival – as well as taking to the stage at perform at London’s Roof Gardens in Kensington after winning Virgin Radio’s Summer Freshfest Competition.
