BUSINESS leaders were given an insight into one of Bolton’s top breweries at a networking lunch on Wednesday.
Bank Top Brewery boss Dave Sweeney was the guest of honour at the Bolton Professionals Curry Club at Spice Valley, Noble House.
Bank Top started brewing craft beer in 1995, and took Mr Sweeney on as its first employee in December 1999.
Since he took over the business in 2004, Bank Top has has doubled its capacity and has won awards for many of its beers — such as Port O’Call,Pavilion Pale Ale, and the best-selling Flat Cap.
The brewery, which also owns the Brewery Tap pub in Astley Bridge and the Ale House in Horwich, recently created a special beer, Scoop, to celebrate The Bolton News’ 150th anniversary.
