NEW housing could be built just off a busy main road.
Plans have been submitted to Bolton Council for outline permission to build five properties on land at the back of St Helens Road, in Daubhill.
The site, at the junction with Cow Lane, currently houses a number of buildings used for storage and light industry, which would be demolished.
