BOLTON residents are being encouraged to share their experiences of unfair practices in the leasehold market.
Sir David Crausby is urging his constituents to respond to a Government consultation on the issue before it closes next week.
The Bolton North East MP has long made an issue of exploitation under the leasehold model and says that Government proposals to tackle the problem do not go far enough in helping those already burdened with a leasehold contract.
He said: “There is just one week left to respond to the Government’s consultation.
“I think their plans need to go further, the more people who share their experiences of unfair leasehold practices the stronger the case is to introduce new protections.”
Take part in the consultation before midnight on September 19 at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/leaseholdhouse
