THIS Saturday Paddy McGuinness will be playing host to the likes of Amy Winehouse, George Michael and Prince for a brand new BBC show.
The Bolton comic is heading-up the “entertainment spectacular, Even Better Than the Real Thing when the 60-minute special hits television screens at 7pm.
Celebrating the biggest names in pop music, the BBC One show is bringing together the world’s top tribute artists for a glamorous night of performing and competing.
First pictures from the show have revealed a glamorous line-up of look-a-likes who hope to prove their voices live up to the doppleganger images.
The magic of stars now gone will be reevived by the likes of Tania Alboni as Amy Winehouse, South African Whitney Houston singer Belinda Davids, Rob Lamberti as George Michael, Mark Anthony as Prince and David Jordan channelling the King of Pop Michael Jackson.
There are also tributes to current hit makers on the bill including Little Fix– aka Little Mix, Jeff Dingle as Bruno Mars, and Degsy Williamson becoming Manchester’s very own Liam Gallagher.
Even Better Than The Real Thing will see performances from professional tribute artists who are described as “quite simply the very best in the game”.
Also in the show will be unique and surprising duets, as the tribute artists deliver never-before-seen collaborations.
At the end of the show the live studio audience will vote for their favourite performer - the one act on the night that truly is even better than the real thing.
Despite not having even hit the screen yet, fans of the show will also be in for a festive treat when Even Better Than The Real Thing returns for an additional Christmas special later this year.
The tribute acts will perform much adored Christmas favourites from across the decades and more details will be revealed soon.
