A PUBLIC meeting will be held later this month to discuss ‘widespread public concern’ over the controversial Horwich Loco Works development.
Bolton West MP Chris Green will chair the meeting, which has been organised by the Horwich First community group to give residents the chance to ask questions and raise concerns about the building plans.
Mr Green said: “Following the last public meeting in March 2015, chaired by my predecessor, progress in the Horwich Loco Works project has become confused.
“There is widespread public concern over unresolved issues relating to the site including contamination, transport and education.
“With the development now going ahead in a confused manner, there is concern among residents that these issues will now remain unresolved.”
The meeting will take place on Monday, September 18, from 6.30pm at Horwich RMI, in Chorley New Road, Horwich.
Bolton Council leader Cllr Cliff Morris, senior officers at Bolton Council and environmental health staff have all been invited.
