CAB: The council have urged residents to use taxis safely this New Year.
A TAXI driver received a ticket after they could not be bothered to queue on a slip-road.
Police saw the car queuing down a slip road onto the A666 in Bolton when it decided to cross the solid hatched area to join the main carriageway.
Officers then followed the car onto Manchester Road where it was stopped.
The driver was than handed a fixed penalty notice by the officers and will have to pay a fine.
