A MAN was jailed for stealing a safe from a taxi office.
Christopher Mann, aged 32, took the safe from the Metro Taxis office on Tonge Moor Road on August 18 this year.
He admitted the offence at Bolton Magistrates' Court earlier this week.
Mann, of no fixed abode, entered the property as a trespasser when people were present.
He was jailed for 18 weeks as he had just been released from a long custodial sentence. He must pay a surcharge of £115 and his guilty plea was taken into account when the sentence was passed.
