A PLAQUE honouring workers who have lost their lives has been temporarily removed from outside Bolton town hall.
The engraved flagstone, which had been installed in front of a fountain next to the town hall steps, has been taken in to have a new logo added to it.
It will then be relocated to a permanent position on the other side of Victoria Square.
The plaque reads: “In commemoration of all those workers across the country who have lost their lives in the course of their employment.”
Cllr Cliff Morris, leader of Bolton Council, said: “It will be moved to a new location, somewhere on the lawns near the war memorial at the other side of Victoria Square.
“When it was originally made it was just going to be laid as a flagstone and we put it next to the fountain temporarily until the unions had decided where they wanted its permanent location to be.”
