PETER Kay's hit sitcom Car Share has won another prize after it was named Best Comedy at the TV Choice Awards.
The recent season, featuring Peter and Sian Gibson, fought off stiff competition from Benidorm, The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family to win the accolade, which was voted for by the public.
TV Choice magazine said in its description of the show said: "Viewers loved the will they-wont they comedy in which Peter Kay and Sian Gibson play supermarket colleagues sharing their commute.
"There was an outcry when Peter’s character John failed to declare his love for Sian’s Kayleigh in the final episode of series two, and rumour has it there won’t be a third."
Peter thanked everyone who had voted in a Facebook post.
