SHOPPERS were transported across the globe as Crompton Place served up Egypt-themed fun and treats to 1,200 children.
The centre, in partnership with Bolton Library And Museum Service, hosted a number of activities including cake decorating, arts, crafts, face-painting and storytelling.
Creations included badge, mask and mummy spoon-making and provided a taster of what's to come for the arrival of the Bolton's Egypt gallery.
Crompton Place centre manager Paula Wood said the four days of festivities had been a 'brilliant success'.
She said: "The event was a huge hit in bringing the community together and it was fantastic to see so many children and their families taking part in all the fun we had laid out.
"It was impressive to see young Michael Caines and Mary Berry’s in-the-making putting their culinary talents to the test during cake decorating sessions.
She added: "We are incredibly proud to be a sponsor of the Bolton Food and Drink Festival. It’s a wonderful celebration of the town and very few things beat spending quality time with loved ones and sharing great food and drink.
"Thank you to everyone who came to the centre and made our event the wonderful success that it was. We hope everyone has had brilliant foodie fun with us."
Bolton Council’s cabinet member for culture, youth and sport, Cllr John Byrne, said: "The family activities at Crompton Place were really successful with around 400 people a day taking part in the fun.
"This was the first time Bolton Library And Museum Services supported Crompton Place and we hope to continue to work together in the future as our plans for our new Egyptology gallery develop."
