AFTERNOON tea turned into a major fundraiser when a Bolton couple offered their beautiful garden to a children’s charity.
The Children Today charity, which buys specialised equipment for children with disabilities, organised the event at the Bradshaw home of Glenda and Graham Ostick.
Their spacious garden at Bridge House is well-known to local gardening fans through the national open gardens’ scheme.
It provided a great backdrop for afternoon tea for 56 people when £1,000 was raised for the charity.
Children Today regional fundraiser Elizabeth Oakes said it had been a successful event and thanked everyone for all their support.
She said: “It was a fabulous day held in gorgeous surroundings and we’re very grateful to Graham and Glenda and to everyone who supported the event.”
