PEOPLE from all walks of life took part in a five-mile journey visiting landmarks and places of worship around Bolton.
About 50 people took part in the community walk that visited various locations around town.
The walkers visited Bolton Parish Church, the town centre, the University Of Bolton, Zakariyya Mosque, Queens Park, Bolton School and the Shree Krishna Temple.
Chan Parmar, strategic officer at Bolton Interfaith Council, said the event had both physical benefits and enabled people to learn about their community.
He said: "It is another way of bringing the community together.
"There were a lot of new faces and during the walk everyone was able to chat and talk to one another.
"We saw different people along the way and we stopped by many different places.
"It was a five mile walk so there were a lot of physical benefits.
"It was a win-win situation. A lot of people said they would like to do it again and we will be doing it again next year.
"It is all about bringing people together. Every time we went to a different place everyone was commenting on how welcoming they were."
