FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of a man who became stranded on a window ledge after locking himself out.
Crews from Bolton Central and Bolton North Fire Stations were called to King Street in Bradshaw at 8.21am on Bank Holiday Monday.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: " Crews used an extension ladder to rescue a man from a window ledge.
"He is believed to have accidentally locked himself out of the property and was attempting to break his way back in when he got into difficulty."
The spokesman added: "Getting locked out of your house is never fun, but please don’t take unnecessary risks when trying to regain entry to your property. Let’s call a locksmith, not an ambulance"
