THERE is less than three weeks to sign up to Bolton Hospice’s Bubble Rush 2017.

The event is on Sunday, September 17, from 11am at Queens Park and there is still time left to register.

It is a sponsored five kilometre run through mountains of colourful bubbles and it is open to everyone, no matter what their age or ability and it is also suitable for prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs.

You don’t have to run it, you can walk jog or skip around the park all while raising money for the hospice.

Registration costs £20 for adults, £10 for children and £50 for a family package for two adults and two children.

However, if you raise £100 in sponsorship you are eligible for a refund on your entry fee.

There will be lots of other activities on the day for people to enjoy and get involved in.

Last year’s event saw nearly 1,000 people take part in the run, including an estimated 150 children.

Runners turned up in fancy dress, including tutus, visors, butterfly wings and snorkels.

A samba band lined the route to cheer them on.

The hospice needs to raise £3.2 million a year just to keep the doors open and continue raising money for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

Events like the Bubble Rush contribute a huge amount to that total.
