A 'SUCCESSFUL' trial run has been held at Bolton Interchange.
The trial tested all the elements of the new facility with members of of the Octagon Theatre and staff from Transport For Greater Manchester (TfGM).
The participants tested passenger information, signage, lifts, bus stands and walking routes to the interchange.
They also used the ticket and information office, cafe and toilets.
The event was described as a 'key part' of interchange staff training and enabled TfGM to gather feedback.
The interchange is on track to open at 6am on Sunday, September 3.
It will follow the closure of Bolton Bus Station on Moor Lane after the final service at midnight on September 2.
Cllr Andrew Fender, chairman of the TfGM Committee, said: "The successful trial this week brings us closer to the opening of this new facility, which will provide passengers with better travel information, waiting and ticketing facilities in a light, bright and safe environment."
